I have been tucking my engine bay slightly and want to delete that big ugly fuel filter and put in a smaller in line filter. I know that i have to make sure i use proper equipment to ensure no leakage. Im using a pretty good mr gasket high flow filter and fuel injection hoses and double clamps for it. My question is that i want to just hook up a fuel hose directly to the fuel rail but is it ok to delete that damper that goes on top of the line that connects to the fuel rail? the reason i ask is cause i hate those crappy crush washers and this would just delete them all together. i notice on all aftermarket setups that they dont retain this damper thing. just wondering dont flame dont hate. too old for sarcastic remarks. just need to finish this project so any help would be greatly appreciated. …:surrend:
It’s pretty much standard practice to remove that part when shaving/tucking. I thought mine was ugly as well but I opted to use a brand new OEM one which looks much nicer. But then again I wasn’t going for the standard tuck.
so its not needed then? just wondering. i know honda has a tendency to put things that do not really need to be there. like most of the vacuum stuff. HA!
dont you love living in a state that doesnt care?
