FUNCTION FORM TYPE 2 help!!!!

So I want to lower my car some more. I’m on a hybrid suspension setup from an EG. I am maxed out in the front without touching the preload. Would adjusting the preload mildly make a huge huge difference as to ride quality? I have about a finger gap from my fender to he top of my tire. Any help would be appreciated.

dont mess with the preload is what my dealer said. That is why is was so disappointed with the Function Form company. They dont meet function and form. good luck with the answer. good luck calling the tech hotline too. they will answer but say that some people like it that low or you must have after market wheels on or its not designed for your setup. bullshit. and yes they make rear extenders. just pay 50 bucks and do more work.

First off, I’m sorry to say it, but Function and Form is junk; it’s another rebranded Taiwanese coilover with limited R&D; it’s the same coilover as D2 and Ksport and etc. But besides the point, here’s some help.

Ok since your doing it for aesthetic reasons obviously, have you tried removing a collar out? Also do note since you’re essentially already maxing out the coilovers to it’s lowest setting, your already sacrificing the proper suspension travel of the dampener which therefore will sacrifice ride quality and also will cause premature failure much faster in the future. So i strongly suggest not messing with the preload at all. I get what your doing, but in my own personal opinion, it’s a waste of time to do in it Honda to achieve that “Hella Flush” look. Also another alternative that may help to eliminate that fender gap is to run a bigger diameter wheels.

Whats the purpose of having your car sitting on the ground?

to smash your oil pan, duh lol

yep i did the low n slow for a few months then i lost the slam for some more comfort and am pleased with not being on the floor anymore, im still pretty low but will be going back up a bit more when it comes time for race season if the cars ready enough for me to be competitive for the championship
