i have a fuse that blows out every time i put the car into reverse. the car is a 5spd. what to do?

i also checked the back up light bulbs and they were fine
You have a short at or after the reverse switch.
I would unplug the harness at the switch and meter the green/black lead.:hmm: 94
i just went out to look again and noticed on the fuse box lid it said 20A when it had a 10A from beginning on. so now it has a 20A and it works fine

yea but the weird thing is that the 10A has been in there since i got the car
Just checking, and it should be a 10A fuse, fuse 1 -10A 91-93 Integra or fuse 23 - 10A 90 Integra.
Remove the 20A fuse.:uhoh:94
it is a 90 integra and it blew the 20A now too :think:
I would be willing to bet you have a pinched wire, backup light lead someplace between the backup light switch and the backup lights.:think:94
