I went to NOPI nationals in Atlanta this weekend and I talked to these two salesman (i know, they just want to sell there product) about this device called the g timer. It measures 1/4 mile time, 0-60, Horsepower (apparently there is a mathamatical calculation that can tell what your HP is from your 0-60mp and so on), G-force, and a few other things. Seemed like a really fun/neat investment, and a way to test and tune, etc. I was wondering if there was any speculation on this? I have a feeling its a rip off, but you never know. It was selling for $100 at NOPI nat. and apparently is a bit more expensive elsewhere. Hoped I could get some personal experience suggestions on whether or not its a good investment. Thanks in advance.
fyi i spent 25 i think on my g-tech, used it for a few days, then never touched it again. seems like everyone does the same thing. money better spent elsewhere…
damn, 25 isn’t bad, where can that be found? I think that would be worth it if it actually worked… one thing i forgot to meantion in the original post. All you have to do is hook it up to your cig. lighter outlet for power, how the hell does it calculate everything?
the thing had a whole mess of sensors that detect front and rear movement, side ot side movement and how quickly these movements are made then it somehow calculates the different things.
ebay… 25 bucks. and yes you plug it into your cigarette lighter and put in the approximate wieght of your vehicle and then choose an option to test. personally i would try and convince one of your friends to buy it and then let you use it. or have a few people pich in watver.
