hey everyone, I ordered an air ride suspension Kit for the 90-93 integra from Aim Industries. Aim is also known as Ricky Racer in most magazines. rickracer.com. anyway, has anyone had experience ordering this kit or anything from them? hows the quality? I heard that some guy ordered the air ride kit, and the brackets that supposedly they made for our G2 integras dont fit, and are only for the G3 integras. I dunno, Im a little nervous because my G2 is registered for import fest, and this kit should be here in about a week. so I wont have time to be customizing brackets for it. anyone have any idea what im talkin bout?
well I did ask this from them and they seemed to be sure that it will fit. I just want reassurance so im not wasting my time taking my suspension apart getting ready for the install

i cannot STRESS enough NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM AIM Industries…
they are located in AZ, i have been there, bought from them, its crap stuff, if you like doing things twice…go ahead and buy from them…otherwise do it right the first time same for Hack Shack…
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM AIM INDUSTRIES UNLESS YOU WANT TONS OF BULLSHIT AND EXTREME AMOUNT OF HASSLE. I am not sure of any reputable air ride kits, but pay the extra money for quality. AIM ****ed me, its a good thing I ‘attempted’ to purchase the kit with my credit card, because I would have been out of 1300 dollars if I didn’t. First of all the price they advertise is not for a complete kit, you still have to buy more fittings, a decent compressor unless you want to take all day to fill your tank, and they didn’t ship me all the parts the first time around - and what’s sad is they didn’t even ship me all the parts they second time around. I got nothing but **** from their supervisors when trying to return their equipment due to their error. So I had to dispute it with my CC company - it took like 3 months to get the charges overturned. TRUST ME - never purchase anything from AIM.
Yes it was for a G2, not to be an ass - but did you read my post? They did not send me all of the one way valves, I think there are supposed to be 16 one way valves - they ****ed up my order and sent me 8 valves and an air manifold that does what the valves do but better, but then did not send me all of the fittings so that I could install that or use all the one way valves because I didn’t have a complete set. They didn’t send all the instructions or a parts list, so it took me like 2 days to figure out that I was missing ****. Lastly, THE ADVERTISED PRICE IS NOT FOR A COMPLETE KIT. You still have to buy more fittings if you want the kit to work right, add in some ‘capacitors’ or whatever they call them to distribute out the air flow = soft ride, its and extra $100 for front and rear - the included compressor is **** - takes like 30 minutes to fill the tank, so after dropping your car after going to the store or something, you will sit there for 30 minutes (exaggerating) before you can drive off again. Let me tell you something that I have learned - DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. Best of luck to you. I would return the kit. (That is if they will let you.)
Edit: Oh yeah, from reading your post - do you know how to weld, have a welder, or know someone who does, or lastly will pay someone to do it? Because the mounting brackets have to be welded to the screws that bolt on top of your strut tower. They don’t tell you that. Maybe I just got the short end of the stick and you will have more luck - but the consensus points to ‘NO’.
so when was this that you ordered the kit? recently? also, did the rear cylinder mounts mount to the control arm ok? like did the holes on the bracket line up properly for the G2? I upgraded the kit to a large compressor and tank, and I did order extra fittings. but anyway let me know. also, what is your suspension right now?
Just curious, how did you know to order more fittings already? But man, I’ve said all I’m going to say about AIM and its product - apparently you don’t want to listen. Hope better luck to you then I had - tell us about it when you get everything installed.
hey man… not that I dont want to listen, just that I already ordered the kit and to return it would cost me a 30% restocking fee. I already asked them. anyway I knew to order extra fittings because I might want to add accumulators later on. dunno yet. but I will let you know how it goes for sure man.
hahaha…good luck with that **** man…its gonna leak, no question, fitment…eh who knows…plus you prolly paid out the ass…ever wonder WHY they have a 30% restocking fee? maybe its because so many people return their crappy products its the only way they can make money…i am sorry you just bought RICKY RACERs air set up…truly sorry, let me know when you need all new fittings that dont leak and the correct compressors and cylinders…i have the hook up on all the right stuff…seeing as how i was the first person ever to put the cylinders on a DA integra…i learned the hard way and bought all aim stuff and had to replace almost everything.
