hey guys i tried to do search for this but no luck for me…anyways i have a gsr swap sitting in my garage that i’m gonna swap into my teg and i was unclear of which header to get…i hear some people say get one specific for the car and some say for the motor…i was just planning on getting a dc 4-2-1 and i dont know if i need to get one for a 92 teg or one for a newer teg gsr…any help???
thanks
which header
get the year specific header. all b-series exhaust manifolds have the same bolt pattern. the only differences are 1) the location of the o2 sensor(s) and 2) the height of the header due to the height of the block( b16’s are shorter). so get the header for your year car and you should be okay (b18a same height as b18c).
thanks…thats what i figured
B16 header will fit however…
it will be a very tight near the oil pan. The GSR block is 7mm taller than B16 so your best bet would be to get either any LS header or GSR header. You will need to lengthen or shorten the rest of the exhuast to make the header fit.

he is correct. you will want to get the header for a 92-93 integra. that way it will bolt to your engine and your exhaust.
now if you really want a good header you’ll want to get an ITR header. An itr header will bolt right up to your engine (like he said, all b series exhaust manifolds have the same flange design.) However you will need to have your exhaust modified a little to get it to bolt up correctly… for some its worth the extra $$ and effort.
yeah i have a b18c in my teg i am using the dc 92-93 header fit no problem at all , the only problem is i want a 4-1 header bad dc jdm or itr
ya…
JDM ITR and 92-93 integra headers are the same, length wise. All that has to be done is either purchase a 2.5" collector equipped cat. converter, or modify your existing one to accept it.

I’m using the ITR Comptech on my B18C1 and it bolted up fine to the cat.

the comptech bolted right up to the cat!!!?? sweet! I’ve been eyeing the comptech for when i eventually get a header, and i just figured it’d need the same mods that the jdm itr and DC itr needed in order to fit.
oh and jason, you have mail.
so the comptech has a 2 1/4 colector? or 2 1/2??? im relly intrested in the header if no mods need to be done like the 4-2-1 dc header but i know that vtec would hit alot harder with vtec , leftcorner can u give us more info or a review thanks

The Comptech has the stock size collector, 2" if I remember right. It fits w/o any modification, but it’s not a perfect fit like my previous LS DC Sports. There was a gap but nothing like some of the numbers I’ve previously heard. I was able to use the stock bolts w/o a problem, so that might give you some indication. As for a review, I don’t have much to offer because the engine/clutch are still being broke-in.
