I own da6 around 3 year,i though it have good handling performance because a lot of people call it is 90’s on track weapon.Last week,i touge hill climb with my civic eg friend.I totally no chance to chase him.Both of us using the same product and our car spec as below;
-B16A
-10K/6K hi/low adjustable suspension,brand is TITAN and make from malaysia customise shop.
-bridgestone re001 205/50/16
-other wise,all is default fatory
Even we using the same srping rate,but my friend’s eg suspension feel more stiff than mine.When taking a hard corner,suppose will more easy to lost control(oversteer,understeer or spin out),but his car still can keep the tyre traction to finish the corner with 100KM/h.If i follow behind to taking the corner,front will become understeer(feel only 1 side of front tyre taking all pressure),behind will lost traction and slide to another lane.If seriously,then spin out.Actually,what is the problem for my car?have any solution to improve my car handling?
PS:A year twice for track,daily driver.
EG VX curb weight: 2094 lbs (949 kg)
EG CX curb weight: 2108 lbs (956 kg)
EG DX curb weight: 2178 lbs (987 kg)
EG Si curb weight: 2390 lbs (1084 kg)
DA6 curb weight: 2,643 lb (1,199 kg)
On top of that I am not sure how much stiffer the frame and chassis of the EG stock is compared to the DA6. Weight wise that is going to hurt going up hill. Look into getting some sway bars for your car. Maybe maybe the St front with a 32mm ASR for the rear. And the spring rates are really on the soft side for what you do. I am assuming you want performance over the ride comfort so you need to be in the range of 12k Front spring and a 14K rear spring with an equally matched shock. Preferably the ground control sleeves paired with a properly valved koni yellow. And I run the Toyo R1R’s in a 225/45r16 so you could on your next set of tires go to a 215/45r16 or even a 225/45r16. Increase your camber too, something along the lines of -3f/-1.5r.
That set-up is going to get rid of the understeer and should get your tail to rotate very well around corners, which may not be a good thing if you are doing this on public roads going up or down hills.

Thanks for your reply.
I is daily driver(road user),very very less to track.May i ask?I so confusing why a lot forumer set their teg rear suspension more stiff than front…I know this setting will totally get rid the understeer problem,but,how about oversteer and rear wheel spin out?This setting feel like a drift car,right?To avoid any crash,counter the steering to adjust back the straight line?I stay at malaysia,i don’t know other country road condition,but at here,rough everywhere…Even now i set up with 10k/6k also quite hard to grip on connering(feel like gokart don’t have body roll),really can’t imagine what is the next happening if i set to 12k/14k…SPIN LIKE A TURTLE TO STRIKE BOWLING PIN???PLEASE PARDON ME,my driving skill damn poor and not understand well the meaning of get rid of the understeer and should your tail to rotate very well around corners…About tyre,i will downgrade back to 195/55/15 OR 205/55/15 for daily use,16" may be just keep for track use…
PS:I don’t like street racer,malaysia have too much accident happen because of them!!!Usually we rent a open air parking place to njoy privacy autocross and using wakie-talkie to make sure don’t have other car crossing when touge,otherwise,immediately end the party.
