I know this is a long shot but has anyone ever thought about or attempted or to swap in a G25A enigne(Vigor 5 cylinder) in a G2 or a civic hatch maybe really just about any car that could have this engine swapped in or even know of a vehicle with it, i was wondering just cause i thought it would be something different. I know there is really isnt much aftermarket stuff for the vigor but thats not why i would do it. Just something i have been thinking about lately, and wondered your guys opinion on it, i know it would be a ton of work and all, but would definitly be different then everyone else’s swaps. LMK if you guys have any input on this cause i might just attempt it on something or another. TIA
I’m gonna guess it is too long to fit easily, just by looking at it. If you have access to one though measure and see. I would expect your axles would be at a crazy angle though, if it does fit.
yeah thats the one main thing i was thinkin would be hard/possibly impossible, is the length. i dunno if i will do it yet, but i have access to a # of various honda’s i can get for next to nothing. and the local junkyard had a vigor engine sittin in the shed a while back, and i doubt they have sold it yet due to the fact i have only seen 2 vigors in my area, and thats a damn big area. i dunno have just been thinkin about it, cause it would make for something interesting.
is the vigor RWD?
front wheel drive but the engine is mounted like an rwd if I’m not mistaken. a guy at work had one the oil pan is a pain in the ass when it goes.
FWD, with a longitudal engine. transmission is behind the engine, with a shaft running forward and the diff beside the oil pan and the intermediate shaft runs through the oil pan.
You cold gut your teg and make it RWD with the g25a engine!! Some guy converted his teg to rwd and drifts with it. Just a thought…
