Its a pancake spoiler, a replica of the original Hiro but still rare
I’m asking if its an authentic Pancake spoiler… I’m assuming it won’t say Hiro, but were there any other distinguishing features to validate authenticity?
Any ‘sagging’ in the middle? Any high-res photos?
Not trying to nit-pick, but it is a decently sized transaction.
It’s most definitely an authentic Pancake Racing Hiro wing re-issue. I would know, it’s my old wing I sold to Vinny.
Until the rather recent JDP carbon fiber Hiro wing group buy, there has been no other replicas or re-issues on the market. The wing itself is it’s own distinguishing feature to “validate” it’s authenticity. Pancake Racing didn’t stamp any of them, if you’re wondering.
There is no sagging on the deck or blade of the wing, either. When I sold it last year, it had a few stress cracks along the rear backside edge (a common issue with these wings) that had been filled in. Other than that, it’s in great condition. 4 mounting brackets come supplied with it as well.
I bought the wing from a gentlemen who had bought it from Pat himself, back in '06. Then last summer, I sold it to Vinny. From my understanding, he’s had in storage for the majority of the time and has only recently brought it out.
