does anybody know how to go about fixing the gas door to get it to sit flush, this is what I am talking about[/IMG]
Looks like the tab on the fuel door is bent… I’d try bending the tab towards the rear of the car. That would create more tension and keep the door from being wanting to stay open.
thanks unified I will try that, I just didn’t want to mess with it until I could get some input on what to do to it
That’s just my thought process…
The fuel door has a spring-hinge on it that makes it want to “pop” open. If there isn’t enough tension on the locking tab, it will pop open.
Makes me think that the tab has been bent, making it sit funny.
like I said I really do appreciate it and I will try that once I get to my parents house where the car is being worked on, I hate trailer parks for that reason lol
