Gas line scam in question

My teg was leaking gas, only while it was running, for a few a months(slow drip). untill this weekend it started leaking all the time… so I checked it out and took off the little plastic covering and found the steel line was rusted out…

brought it to my mechanic and he fixed it and he charged me only 40 bux… i brought it \home to find he just used a piece of rubber line to replace the metal line.

my question is should i be concered that he replaced it with a rubber line?
will it expand? burst? lose pressure?

if it is fuel line it is cool. the rubber will hold up for a long time

It should be all good, untill another part of the line rusts out. I wouldn’t stress it 40 bux sounds like a good deal to me.
