How to Take/Swap Out Speedometer Gauge, RPM Gauge, Gas & Temp Gauges
This is for all the guys & girls that have bought(or are going to buy) JDM clusters or GSR ones and want to retain your stock speedo for milage and/or so you can read the speed as well, or if one of the guages has broke and want to replace it without replacing everything
Just to make this clear, this is once the cluster is out of the car, to take it out refer to http://www.g2ic.com/tegtips/interior/6.html
To remove just the speedo, there is 2 bigger brass screws and 2 smaller silver screws w/small washers which can be taken off directly from the back of the cluster. With these out the speedo will come right out.
The RPM gauge is held by 2 silver screws right in the middle behind it, again unscrew them from the back, it sits on 2 brass contacts pointing toward the back of the gauge so you may have to jiggle it a little to loosen it, now it will come part way out as you will see there is a red and black wire connecting to it, the 3 screws that are the same silver/size below those last 2 will unfasten the little circuit board behind the gauge itself.
Gas and Temp gauges have 3 small screws holding them inplace and will come right out once unscrewed.
