Whatsup G2 fam! My name is Germz! Located in Honolulu, Hawaii! I’m a pretty active member here on G2IC. I’ve come to a decision that i’ll make a little timeline or so you’d call “build thread” to see how far I have come, or I will go with this Integra. I had a thread on Honda-Tech but it wasn’t really too organized. So i’m taking a second shot at it here. There’s no better place haha.
I picked up the car back in September of 2011. I saw a craigslist ad for a 92 Integra sedan with an automatic transmission. Once I seen photo’s of it, I instantly fell in love. I was intentionally looking for a DA coupe but I figure i’d take on the challenge and build a DB1 because of its uniqueness and rarity… well here in Hawaii that is. The car was all stock and i’m the second owner. The original owner purchased the car back in 1992 and has been properly maintaining it for the past 20 or so years. The car had no problems mechanically besides the minor oil leaks and the bad ac compressor. It ran like a champ! Not to mention it only had 77k miles
The elderly man was asking $1800 for the car so I coughed up the cash and drove it home! Here’s the first photo I took of it. I think this was September 20th 2011…
A few days later, I took it down to the shop to give it a good wash.

About a week into owning the car I started doing little things to it. I scored a 5 panel wink mirror from a buddy of mine for $10 brand new. I wasn’t really planning on buying it but it was an offer I couldn’t refuse and plus this thing is great. Deletes all the blind spots. On the other hand the owner swapped out the old steering wheel with some weird looking autozone wheel.
October of 2011… a friend of mine wanted steelies and hubcaps. He gave me a call and wanted to trade my stock wheels for a set of BMW Bottle caps. Drove the car around like this for about a year or so…
Fastforward to October of 2012!! Car went up in the air for suspension! The car got the much needed drop that it deserved. Also got rid of those BMW Bottle caps. Really wasn’t feeling them that much.
Scored a set of clear corners for $5!!! And yeah I know, I know “I need 1 pieces” but c’mon… $5 is a hell of a deal. Looks way better than those Amber corners. Here’s a before and after.
Decided to ditch the steelies and pick up a set of Si rims locally.
Went ahead and peeled the ugly ass 5% tint! Its so refreshing to see it with no tint.
Color matched the mirrors! And the car is back on steelies! Sold the rota circuit 8’s. As you see this is already late December of 2012 since i’m rocking the little ribbon for some holiday spirit
Picked up some BBS Sportweaves!
Near the end of December I got a chance to switch out the old crappy motor mounts that had seen better days.
Yay new mounts. Nothing special since the motor is stock and it still has its automatic tranny.
Washed the whip! Can’t tell you enough how awesome it is to have new mounts after driving with shitty ones for so long
The accord lip hung pretty low and eventually started to sag then rip off because it kept scraping my drive way. But that was my fault for mounting it so shitty. So I trashed it and picked up a OEM one from the junkeyard. Painted it white and put it on the car. I like it a lot but later down the line I will be ordering the JDM Engineering lip.
Well now that everyone is caught up! Here is how the car sits as of February 2nd 2013…
Later this week, I am going to get the front bumper and trunk resprayed. Rust just started to form around the badges on the trunk. The rest of the car is pretty immaculate.
I’m piling up parts for the LS-Vtec build. So mos def in the future the 5spd B16 trans is going in.

On a side note, I got the trunk sanded down because the rust got pretty bad. And yes, im working on the side of the street lol. My garage is full of cars at the moment. Gunna get it painted tomorrow! Here’s a pic of when we started.
Today I got the trunk back from my homie. Shaved and color matched! Also got rid of the rust that was building up. Next would be the antenna. I really want an antenna for some strage odd reason lol. I know people tend to get rid of it and shave it down but I feel that it’s one of those parts that needs to stay to keep the cars true form.
