getting an obd0 car running with an obd1 harness

I had to replace my wiring harness, and was sent an obd1 instead of an obd0 harness. Everything important sensor wise seems the same, except the fan temperature sensor wiring, no big deal.

I can’t get the car started though with the new harness, I noticed that a ground on the obd0 harness isn’t there on the obd1 harness, instead it has a plug with wires. How do I go about adapting this harness to ground to the motor?

I was also under the impression that an obd1 harness has a different distributor plug, but this one fits fine?..

plug on new harness, where old harness had a round ringish connection to be grounded near the coolant area
(this is under the distributor area)

farther out pic from main intersection of wires where old harness had a ground connection
(main wiring under distributor area)

two new connectors in place of fan connection for auto fan, (O2 sensor is still one wire and the distributor cable fit fine)

trying to figure out how to get this new wiring harness to hookup right, need to get the car started and out of the way asap

anyone?
