i wanna remove the ac, and heater core. im pulling the dash out…what do i do with all the wires and sensors for the heater and control unit?
what about in the engine bay.
also ps is removed but the line is there.
i would like to remove the abs unit…when i pull the motor…

im gonna most likley strip the rear of the the car n take the sound detning out… and get a nice 4 pt or 6 pt roll bar. n keep the front seats and door panels.
would it be harrd to go from gs doors to rs?
can i remove the cruise control unit??
what can i take outta the bay? i have nothing for the winsheild wiper fluid or resinator stuff for the intake?
Just take your time and go over everything slowly. Be gentle removing things unless you’re DAMN SURE that you never want to put it back in. Wiring you don’t care about, snip. Wiring you may want to re-use down the road, just tuck somewhere out of the way. Consider all the “what if” scenarios.
Do you care about keeping cool on the track or on the way to the track? I don’t care, so the A/C is gone.
Do you care if a truck splashes mud on your windshield on the way to the track? Pulling over and wiping it off with a t-shirt sounds sucky to me, so I left the washer system fully functional.
Having comicly driven into a giant plastic barrier one morning when my HVAC controls were busted and my windshield fogged up, I plan on always leaving at least the blower motor installed in the winter… mine’s out right now, but I removed it gently so I can put it back in. Heater core is in there too.
Everything you mentioned is do-able, plus some other stuff that we’re probably not thinking about. Stripping a car down is pretty much the most fun thing you can do while wrenching, so take your time and enjoy it

how much am i really losing(LB) taking out the heating and cooling system?
can i just keep the blower and nothing else?besides the control unit?? originally
i wanna use a block off on that and the radio section… i want the front looking clean… but the defroster part i didnt think about. hmmmmm, mabey ill keep mine too
i MIGHT consider keepin the stereo front speakers and tweeters…anyone got there stereo in theirs still?
i have no freon…so im used to the windows lol so ac ccan go. i can make a lil back off it since it works too

I don’t have a track car or anything but I removed the p/s, looped the rack, removed the abs, removed the wiper reservoir, and removed the cruise control. I still kept my a/c and it is no less bearable driving around or anything.
the heater core its self only ways a couple of pounds, but the vent casing adds another 4-5 pounds I think. get that abs out of there but leave the 1inch master cylinder
your better off shaving weight elsewhere. a carbon fiber sunroof insert is a good option or even one of those new CF roof skins
have you consider ditching the power stearing rack for a EF manual rack?
