Can’t handle another guy shooting your gf in “club attire”? Maybe dating a model isn’t for you. You can sit in the corner and color while I’m shooting. I really don’t care if you stay or go, husbands/mothers/friends/whoever are all invited to observe provided they stay out of the way.I’m not the guy whos going to fly across country to play the role of Mr. Stole your girl.
@stu I sent an email about that stuff but it looks like it was never delivered. Thanks for thinking of me but I’m actually looking to downsize my gear collection at this point and I’ve had a few unexpected expenses.

Hahaha sounds like a good plan for next time. If this model wants to get anywhere she’ll dump this guy. “They’ve” decided that “she’s” only going to do cosplay shoots with select photographers. Translation : he isn’t comfortable with her being a model.
I’m either taking a long break or quitting entirely. Too much drama and I don’t have the PhD in computer science required to use photoshop. My real job has been kicking my ass lately too. I’ve gone from support to sales/service/support/trainer/retention specialist for 87 facilities in 6 states.
I have 1 project pending and a few shoots booked and then it might be time for the selling of the gear time.
As for my written book likely never going to happen. The dude who wanted to be my agent/publicist/ manager / whatever is doing a long stint in prison for taking lots of money from lots of people. Dude never got a dime from me since I was pretty much a dingleberry on the asshole of success for pretty much my entire life lol
2 months ago I went to “comedy night” at a dive bar a few towns over. Its was pretty much “run what ya brung” 5 min open mic spots. All of the comics were awful and bombed. My buddy gave me $20 to do my 1 and only 5 min set about stealing the toothbursh from walmart. I fucking killed. A guy came up to me and gave me his card and claimed to be from the Stern Show (i’ve been listening to Stern religiously for 24 years and I’ve never heard of this guy, plus Stern’s guys don’t do this shit they’ve been put on blast by Howard). I played dumb and went along with it. This dude wouldnt stop calling me for about a week straight. Every call was about booking me at even shittier dive bars in central NJ and eastern PA. Blocked his number , he hasn’t found me on fb. I don’t want to do stand-up.

I’ve been in the same boat for a while. Just had too much going on to balance a day job and a photo business in the middle of a major house renovation. So we took a bit of a hiatus, only doing a few select shoots for people we knew or had worked with before. The big issue is doing enough sessions to cover expenses like insurance and business licencing without having to do a huge volume. We’re a two-person operation too, doing all of our own editing, album design for weddings, accounting, web and logo design, etc.
For me the drama wasn’t with the clients though. I was a member of a bunch of local photo-related Facebook pages and had to quit them all for the sake of my sanity.
It’s pretty easy to get beat up and burnt out, So a good long break might be just what the doctor ordered.
