Rahm Emmanuel tells off Chick-Fil-A founder for expressing his own personal opinion–you know, that whole “First Amendment” thing–and claims they’re going to fight to keep Chick-Fil-A from putting restaurants in Chicago (in other words, Government-based retaliation for exercising his Freedom of Speech).

  2. Rahm Emmanuel welcomes bigoted racist Louis Farrakhan, recently famous for his own anti-gay-marriage rants and tirades, with open arms.

Disclaimer: I don’t agree with Truett Cathy’s stance either. Nobody else’s marriage affects my own, nor should my own personal marriage have any effect on anyone else’s relationship(s). Frankly, I don’t give a shit one way or the other who wants to marry whom. If you want your marriage to be recognized by a given church, obviously it has to fall into the guidelines they set forth. Beyond that, marry whomever you want. I’m much like the honey badger–don’t give a shit. BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THE GOVERNMENT CAN PUNISH OR RETALIATE AGAINST SOMEONE FOR EXPRESSING THEIR OWN FUCKING OPINION. That’s why we have that thing called Amendment Number Fucking One.

I would hate to live in a country where I cannot speak my mind or have my own opinion. People are taking this SO FAR out of context - it is really ridiculous. The guy NEVER said he hated gay people. He just said [paraphrasing] he believed in man and woman being together only. Does this say he would never serve gay people food? Does it mean he hates gays? Would he discriminate? Absolutely not.

alot of people on my town’s message board said they were going to boycott chick-fil-a. These are the same people that will only eat gluten-free/wheat-free/sugar-free/fat-free/HFCS-free , all natural , organic, free range, conflict free, locally grown, douche harvested by machines and techniques that promote a green world and renewable engery. It makes as much sense as me boycotting 24 Hour Fitness.
