So kinda a funny story
I sold my integra a few months ago to a kid
The kid never titled the car in his own name and was driving it around on tags that were not his own
The other day a cop tried to pull him over. He got scared and tried to run. When he ran he hit some snow on the side of the road, hit a guard rail and spun out. He was arrested and the car was impounded
Because the title was still in my name i got a call about all of this shit from the police, i explained the car was not stolen and i actually sold it to him
Anyways fast forward to yesterday and he can’t get the car out of impound because he didn’t legally own it. i went with him to get to the car at the lot. The impound lot said " hey you can’t get your stuff out of the car, you can’t even SEE the car until you pay us our money "
Kinda bullshit and i feel like that’s illegal anyways to not let you get your possessions out of the car. The fee was already $563 and if he wouldn’t have money until next week to get it out at which point it would be even more since it goes up $50 a day for storage
I made the offer " hey man, how about i pay the fee and get the car out, you can get all your shit out of it and i will keep the car and you give me my title back "
he made the deal so its my car again, funny that i never even returned the tags to it, i slapped my tags back on and just started using it again as my daily driver
Here’s it as of this morning. Also it completely sucks on snow, i got it stuck last night trying to get to my friends lake house down this snow covered road.
I’m not sure if the damage is worth fixing, it still drives fine, no damage at all to the suspension. I just took it on a 3 hour drive yesterday and was averaging over 30mpg.
