Got my old integra back

So kinda a funny story

I sold my integra a few months ago to a kid

The kid never titled the car in his own name and was driving it around on tags that were not his own

The other day a cop tried to pull him over. He got scared and tried to run. When he ran he hit some snow on the side of the road, hit a guard rail and spun out. He was arrested and the car was impounded

Because the title was still in my name i got a call about all of this shit from the police, i explained the car was not stolen and i actually sold it to him

Anyways fast forward to yesterday and he can’t get the car out of impound because he didn’t legally own it. i went with him to get to the car at the lot. The impound lot said " hey you can’t get your stuff out of the car, you can’t even SEE the car until you pay us our money "

Kinda bullshit and i feel like that’s illegal anyways to not let you get your possessions out of the car. The fee was already $563 and if he wouldn’t have money until next week to get it out at which point it would be even more since it goes up $50 a day for storage

I made the offer " hey man, how about i pay the fee and get the car out, you can get all your shit out of it and i will keep the car and you give me my title back "

he made the deal so its my car again, funny that i never even returned the tags to it, i slapped my tags back on and just started using it again as my daily driver

Here’s it as of this morning. Also it completely sucks on snow, i got it stuck last night trying to get to my friends lake house down this snow covered road.

I’m not sure if the damage is worth fixing, it still drives fine, no damage at all to the suspension. I just took it on a 3 hour drive yesterday and was averaging over 30mpg.

Fix it thebn sell it again lol unless u going to keep it

keep it thats fate right there plus im sure u profited major

I’m not even sure what to do with it right now

I’ve been driving it around again though since its so much fun to drive.

The kid cleaned the engine block really well in it

Drove it about 600 miles this weekend, averaged 28mpg driving up a mountain to a friends lake house, averaged 35.8 on the way back going down the mountain.

Also had a blow out ( front right tire, i guess it had an impact in the accident, the car drives straight though so the tire must have taken the blow solely )

This was what it looked like when i owned it before him

Its meant to be! Keep her and treat her good

Holy hell he trashed that car! If the suspension is good, I’d just keep it and daily

He didn’t really trash it outside of the accident. That picture I posted really makes the car look great. It has about 6 different shades of paint on it

He suspension is great on it, it has tokico blues and matched springs, it handles very very well, very fun car to drive.

That’s how impound lots work… Why would they let you get possessions out if you’re likely to just leave the car there and never get it?

They don’t want to be stuck with the car, they want their money.

Not that it was your fault, but if you don’t want the hassle, don’t get your shit impounded. Pretty fair and simple really.

Did a 0-60, pretty bad launch i would say but its overall how quick it is
