I know the SP are tougher to find, does anyone make a catback for our cars that is canaster style, instead of the somewhat stockish design?

I’ve owned both the SP and MX and prefer the MX. Only real difference in looks is the tip - the SP has a rolled tip and the MX has a coffee can looking tip. Piping is 10mm bigger on the MX and the sound is just slightly louder.
The only canister style made for our car that I know of is the HKS Hyper. Other than that you’d need something custom.

$440 shipped is very good. If I remember correctly I paid about $480 shipped (with the 92-93 extension piece) back in Aug. 2000.
Here’s a shot of my Greddy SP. I like it so much, I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it even though I know bigger piping would give me a little more power. I just love the looks and sound of it. Very quiet.

But good luck finding an SP. They are discontinued. The MX is nice, I just don’t like the sound as much.

same here! everthing is perfect except the 50mm piping. wish it was 60…
i thought i’d mention the issue with the sp resonator leaking at the welds. under flex they just cant handle the pressure especially since the fitment is about 1" off on my sedan. many people have had this problem so its best to either replace it like dan did or i just welded it back up myself. be sure to weld at both the pipe and the edge of the resonator on both ends. all is well and when the edge started to leak i was losing more than 40 miles per tank!
Mine resonator leaked too. I rewelded it twice and then replaced the resontator.

MX and SP have different tips
and hte mx was a bit louder then the sp, and that’s right about the welds coming apart on the sp, bad thing is that the sp is the resonater is not a angle but flat, so if uhit somehting it migh snag instead of kinda scraping over it
