Greddy SP2 Cat back Exhaust

I just got done installing a Greddy SP2 Catback on my gen2 integra. So far with the driving that I have done I am very impressed. I really haven’t been able to gage the performace increase in my car, as the temp in michigan has dropped to the 30’s. However it did install easily, and looks fairly nice. The only thing I am a little upset about is that the tip hangs a little to far out the back… The sounds coming from it is very nice. At low rpms you can barely notice the differance but when you open it up it has a very nice deep noise. Which means no nasty rice sound.

oh oh :gotpics: :gotpics: :gotpics:

im very interested in this exhaust. take like 1000000000 pics and i will love you

I will take some pictures as soon as I can.

ya they tend to design them that way. i think that was probably the best length to keep the bumper from collecting so much soot which mine does. i have the sp on my 90-91 sedan so the tip is actually about 2-3" shorter. and a little large for my tastes imo. still sounds great and performs well.

Good theory. I was thinking it stuck out of the bumper in order to reduce interior resonances.

mep

I have the MX on my baby, same thing, i love it!

hey i just t

the first version was designed for the 90-91 2 door, and required an extension for 92-93’s due to the shorter cat. converter. it’s probably the same deal here.

what

I’ve had my SP2 for a few months now and am satisfied with it. Under normal driving, the exhaust does start to sound a little dinky-like and “farty”, but when you open it up the combination of the cai and the exhaust sounds pretty bad ass. I’m lookin to add a header, but am afraid that might give me that raspy, bumble bee noise inline fours are notorious for. Anyhow… if u have a 92-93, u need to put in the little extension piece, but the exhaust should fit without it if u have a 90-91. I would post up the pics i have of the exhaust, but ive already posted up a bunch already. Try to do a search and you’ll find em.

i doubt its an extension for sedans. i have the extension for the SP and the hangers dont line up either way on my sedan.

a header won’t do that or even affect the sound much. a 4-2-1 will give a nice gain throughout the powerband.

… im afraid of a bad exhaust note with the addition of a header casue my friend’s IS300 went from a near-exotic growl (it sounded nuts) to a terrible, ear- piercing raspiness when switching from an axle back exhaust to a full cat-back(Greddy Evo) and a header. However, i am starving for more power and am seriously considering a header and high flo cat (and possibly a small shot of NO2) to complement my basic cai/exhaust set up im currently running. My car, with the addition of the two bolt-ons, now has much better mid-range and improved high-end and i’m hopin a good 4-2-1 might help bump up my mid-range further.
