ok i did the research here and came with the conclusion to use syncromesh oil from GM.
ok now the question is tht i saw tht i need the sycromesh with friction modifier. correct?
i also saw here tht someone wrote it was discontinued. is it true? if so where can i get the syncromesh friction modifier from???
and how many quarts will i need on ys1?
thanks for all the help!!!
I just switched to Honda MTF from 10w30 oil lol and it got rid of mine, what fluid are you using currently?
GM Part# 12377916. The trans holds less than 3Qts.
ok i got the 3qts and the friction modifier additive. putting in and right away felt the difference!!! but after 50bucks. find out tht my grindin is also my flexpipe.
but really happy with the shifting and no noise from trans nomore!!!
thanks guys for the help
My tranny does grind a little bit too, and makes some ugly noises when cruising slowly. I think i might try some syncromesh oil, using 10w30 on my DA9 right now. Is it worth it? the upgrade from normal oil?
I would just get the Honda mtf, it works great in my car. The guy I bought it from a few years ago thought it needed a new clutch, i drained the tranny, filled up with Honda mtf and it fixed the hard shifting and grinding sound right away.
