Okay, I’ve seen several threads pertaining to my question, but I couldn’t find a clear answer. It’s quite simple. My headlights, corner lights, fog lights, and interior lights all dim, and my corner lights actually blink when I apply the brakes…O_O…If I were to re-do my grounds, what would be the best kind of wire to use, and also where could I buy them from…?
If you are going to make your own, use welding cable, it can be found at welding supply stores.
Okay, I ended up buying some 4 gauge wire, and also some terminals…do I need to upgrade any of my fuses in the fuse box or anything…?

Aite, thanks…
Okay, one more question…I bought a battery terminal which includes two 4 gauge outputs, and also two 8 gauge outputs…I’ve heard of people hooking a ground from the battery negative (-) to the alternator…can I also link the battery to the starter for more power…?
As long as the batt. to engine ground is good adding one to the starter motor is not going to make any diff.:sipread:94
K…also, is there any benefit to putting a ground on the intake manifold…and if there is, where on the manifold could I put the ground wire…
Again no, as long as the “stock location” grounds are good you gain no advantage in adding more ground points.:roll:94
Sorry for jacking your thread but my headlights dim too when brakes applied. Question is where are all the ground points? I’d like to changed mine out expect the batt to engine. I already did that months ago.
FCM- do you think they have the wire at HOme depot?
Is welding cable the same kind of cable that has steel braids where it’s really hard to bend, same kind of cable they sell at Home Depot?
Can I use audio cable as well for the ground?
I do not believe H/D has welding cable and yes you can use “audio” cable.
Welding cable is far better then most car audio power cable, and it will be cheaper, welding cable will have more strands of copper wire making up the cable, it will be OFC, [oxygen free copper] the jacket is just about bulletproof and welding cable is far more flexible then any car audio power cable, keep in mind welding cable is designed to pass a lot of current efficiently.
I still use welding cable when doing amp installs, I stock a roll of 6ga and 4ga welding cable called Blue Streak, also use it to make power and ground cables for cars.:)94
