Would adding a ground wire (say an 8 gauge wire grounded to shock tower) to the alternator give any advantages? Brighter lights, less dimming when applying brake, less power drain when windows go down, etc.?
I’d like to try it but am also concerned w/ any adverse effects that may occur. Anything to be concerned with? Thanks for the help in advance.
Alt. is grounded to the engine, adding an engine, [or alt.] to chassis ground can’t hurt, I would also add a batt. to chassis ground, [ground both to shock tower].94
Isn’t the batery already grounded off the chaasis where it connects under the battery tray? Where the negative cable connects to? (also runs the ground to the tranny) What would I do to further ground the battery? Run a wire from the neg post to the shock tower?
