Okay, so the mouting for these covers are velcro. taped to the cover and taped to the headlight. I actually didnt even use these. They were to thick and the cover wouldn’t fit over the lights properly, also the hood would not close… I ended up using double side tape and put it on the neccessary areas…that worked well. As for overall fitment, The corners dont fit to well, as well as at the end of the fog light area. Also the weatherstripping on my bumper had to be removed for my bumper to be fitted on properly…although its still tight, it gives a little gap on the side of the bumper Quality of the covers are excellent. very durable. Styling is alright, sticks out a bit, but looks awsome. Nothing i would keep on my car forever though, just for now :).
Havent driven at night with these, will let you kno on the lighting later on.
*** Lighting is very poor… lol.
When you compare that to the jdm one piece headlights, it obviously doesn’t even compare!
Yeah, it’s not too bad… looks like it’s either blinded or it’s wearing shades… lol. i’ll be taking them off tommorow evening so i can actually see where im going at night.
I had a set of the clear ones once. They were good in that they offered a bit of protection for the actual lenses. Good fit for me, but maybe the design was a bit different back then. They were just held in place when the hood was closed.
My $0.02
Did you get the covers to protect your 1pc lens or did you wanted the darken tint look? If youw anted the tint look… why not just spray tint it… I think the lighting is better that way…
i wonder if you would still get a ticket for using them during the day…and you tell the cop that pulled you over that there covers and you take them off at night…:werd:
