Bump someone gotta know this

Well, a few of the things you are searching for are quite easy to find on Google, really…

Adding VTEC to a non-vtec car is quite easy. Some people get the required clips, and route their own wires as they wish. But most people who want an easier way of it buy a pre-made “VTEC subharness”.

The sub-harness will have the Pressure Switch and Solenoid clips, and sometimes the Knock Sensor… Many companies make them, RyWire/Boomslang/Xenocron/FullRace/eBay/etc.

There is actually a vtec subharness for sale currently on this site. http://forums.g2ic.com/showthread.php?216794-CA-parts-clearout-OEM-rywire-AEM-Spoon-koni-skunkworks-audio-etc

Rollinmyda is a stand-up guy for sure, so there are no worries about getting what is described by him if you decide to buy it.

To install the sub-harness, you plug in all the sensors and have to run it through the firewall, to the ecu. Any quality sub-harness will have OEM pins, which lets you install them in the ECU harness securely.

Again, you can Google search for instructions… this is what I found with a quick search

As far as needing a knock sensor, that all depends on which ecu you use and if that ecu looks for the KS. If the car ends up being chipped and tuned, typically the KS is disabled. But if you’re running this all on a stock ECU then yes, you’ll need to wire that with the vtec subharness.

Ok thanks is there anything I’m forgetting to get for the swap?
