H22a Swap running

glad to hear that its running! are you using the p13 ecu?. I had a problem on my p13 where it was throwing the code for ELD (sorry dont remember the number) and for o2. the way you check the codes, is right above the ecu theres a 2prong connector, take a wire stick each side in the connector, and turn your car on (dont have to start it), and the CEL light on the gauge cluster will flash just like an obd0 ecu does. but im pretty sure thats obd1 and up cars that u can check them the way i explained. well if you have aim hit me up, SkunkdIntegra

funny you should post this as I just got back from getting the codes. I didnt know that you had to do that thing then read the engine light LOL! Oh well got the codes.

7- Throttle positioning sensor (the plug broke so I might have it upside down)
20- ELD like you said
41- Heated Oxy sensor

So I guess the code is nothing serious at all. Awesome. I know I cant fix the oxy sensor sense mine doesn’t have one. What did you do to fix the ELD?

from the pics it looks like you are using a cable mount,is it h2b,or prelude tranny?

haha thats awesome, i also threw a tps code too right before i chucked the p13 for a p28. There really is no way to get rid of the ELD, thats another reason i got a p28 ecu. I guess you could hook up a module so it will send 12 volts to the ecu for the ELD.

hydro to cable conversion bracket. so you can run the prelude trans w/o having to convert to hydro clutch you can jus keep it cable, works really great too, I have an ACT 6puck unsprung with the Xtreme pressure plate and its not stiff at all

it looks good man. im getting ready to start mine in a month or so. how hard was it to do the wiring? Also if ur EGR isnt hooked up itll throw a CEL on the p13. is there anything i should know before i start tearing into mine? Did you buy axles or piece them together? i cant wait to put mine in im tired of driving :auto: Also how did u know where to hook up all the vacumm lines? sorry bout all the questions but this is my first swap. Thanks, Man

I had no clue about the vacuum hoses, honestly I just got both diagrams and kinda guessed. I’m surprised it works flawlessly. If you need help with it let me know. Also I recommend getting the Pwrstr part of the crank pulley machined off while its out. I didn’t do this (didn’t know) and now I have to dremel it off…

Also about the cable to hydro conversion, feels better than stock with my stage 3 XTD clutch! I was amazed, although it was kinda hard to get the cable on for some reason :hmm: kind of a stretch for the cable but like I said better than stock.

Also if your using the Explicit kit you need a 92-96 accord half shaft and a custom axle from Raxles. The driver side axle will work but I bought a new one from Napa to make sure my old one would break or anything. Also need to get a converted engine harness + Obd0 to Obd 1 harness from Rywire (270$ but worth every penny). Ummmmmm…

Oh and you need custom fuel line, new alt belt, obviously a intake + filter, + enough random bolts to send you back and forth to a shop about 100 times. Also you have to make a custom bracket for the throttle which you can just modify the h22a one and use it. I’m sure I’m missing something.

are u running a chipped b series ecu with the extended ls harness or the h22 computer and wiring?

H22a P13 ECU with harness

if i buy the conversion harness i only have to run a few wires right? i got the obd-1 harness with the p13 with like 8 inches of wire and i was going to soldier the wires together but it sounds like it would be easier to buy a harness. Did u hook ur Egr valve up? how much is a passenger axle from raxles? thanks, Andrew

Well if you dont get the harness your gonna need to hook up alot more than just 8 wires. Also there isnt really any documentation on it since not many have done it. The axle was 160$

yea i think im going to invest in that harness. itll save me like 5 hours of trying to match up wires and solder them together. i have the explicit mount kit. did u just use the template and drill new holes? thanks for ur help

Just out of curiosity, why are you not running the o2 sensor? Unless you get the ECU chipped and programmed not to look for it you will have a problem with VTEC engaging. If it’s a wiring issue the rywire harness should have provisions for the O2. If you want to tune it with a wideband, just have another bung welded in before the catalytic converter.

If you broke the TPS you need to get a voltmeter turn the ignition to on and turn the tps with the screws loose till the voltmeter read .004 to .007 volts.
I think that is that correct voltage I havent wrenched on a car in a very long time but i’m 80% sure thats is the correct number. Doing this should get rid of your TPS check engine light unless you have a bad TPS.

Re you sure the O2 sensor will mess up vtec? I have a connector for it but my current exhaust doesn’t have an O2 sensor in the cat since it was Obd0.

did u have to send rywire the integra harness and H22 harness? could i just get the obd0-obd1 jumper and run a couple of wires?

I sent them my H22a engine harness and the b18a1 harness and they modified all the connectors to work with all the different connections on the h22.

Yeah so my only prob now is the TPS the other to (ELD and Heated 02) are nothing to worry about now. Later Ill add the 02 but for now from what Ive read online is the only downfall is running a little rich. Im going to swap out my TPS from my b18 right now to see if that solves it.

Its not a matter of just swaping out the TPS you have to calibrate it also. Read the post I made futher above.

Well I bolted it on and it doesn’t give me the error anymore but I guess Ill check the calibration. Also the pulsating idle problem I was having went away finally. All I did was let the car cool all the way down after bleeding the coolant. Also reset ecu. Now it seems to idle properly again.
