h2b da, out with the old in with the new

whats up, so ive got a b18c1 in my DA and instead of spending thousands to break 200hp. ive decided to just go h2b. does anybody here have this swap in their DA??

im buying the longblock, hasport mounts, full-race traction bar next month and would like some insights or what not…

either way its koo cuz ill just figure it out when time comes… im looking forward to this setup… considering it breaks 200hp and over 150lb torque stock it should be quite interesting mated to a b16 tranny… im not sure if im going to get an aftermarket intake manifold, throttle body, lsd, hondata, and a few other parts or just throw it in as it is and then get those parts and add em later…

the b18c1 is a good strong motor, my best time was 13.3… but i want more and for the price of building a strong all motor setup i might as well go h2b…

i also plan on adding my direct port wet setup once the h2b is in and driving for awhile…
then ima roll to vegas and race a user from here lol…

not sure why theres a bumb err bump but thanks… im definitely doing this swap soon but in no rush… im buying longblock next month along with mounts and traction bar… the things left on my list before going in is lsd, qsd kit, omnipower throttle body, hondata im gasket, hondata s300, h2b header and then itll be good to go in… id say by that time itll probly be fall… hopefully sooner…

im just hoping that with the hasport mounts it sits low enough for stock hood clearance so i dont have to prop hood up… ive done alot of research on honda-tech about this swap and its the way to go instead of building up the gsr… for the price of this swap and extra goodies itll be way more worth it than the b18c1 getting a full skunk2 makeover and rebuild…

I just watched a youtube video by skunk2dotcom for Ejay Adriano’s ths 91 da with a h2b set up. Its worth looking at. Might be able to get in contact with him through skunk 2

about what tho?? its a straightforward swap… just gotta get all the parts and put them together…

yeah i just watched video… its pretty sick. i feel good tho that im a solo builder, no team or no sponsors, all out of pocket… i hope one day to be at that level and doing it by myself is my goal…

check this site out explicitspeedperformance.com they make full swap kits for h series into just about anything

my bad the website is http://www.explicitspeedperformance.net/

aaw but that setup still utilizes h series tranny from the way it looks… im going h22 with b series tranny mounts shift linkage…qsd kit to be exact… i had a h22 eg hatch and tranny was what killed it… now im tryna mate h22 to my b16 tranny…

pretty good deal tho 800 bucks for full race traction bar and swap kit. try giving em a call

but thanks for the link cuz it gives me confidence that ill be able to retain my dual core radiator…

oh yea see it definitely utilizes h series tranny which is a no no… check out this link http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1998426 and then this website for the h2b kit
http://quartersportsdrag.com/H2B.html… the h2b is so much better than a straightforward h22 swap… im getting the full race traction bar and hasport race mounts next week…

see with a standard h22 swap with h22 tranny it requires cutting of the floor and crossmember, the floor for the cable shifter box and then the crossmember for clearances… the
h2b kit requires no cutting considering your using all b series parts except for the longblock and another plus is the gearing in b series trannys except ys1 are considerably shorter than h trannies and are way stronger…

well the guy custom makes em so theres a chance he can make an h2b kit

http://www.explicitspeedperformance.net/ESPDAHFMMK.html h22 in da looks dope tho good luck man!

dont get me wrong im sure hes good… but im gonna go with the qsd kit for 750… already designed, proven, and tested… thanks for the input tho… im sure itd be almost same price if not more and by the time hes done doing the proper research and tuning then making an application ill already have the qsd kit…

good point.

yeah it does look dope and with just simple bolt ons itll hit over 200hp and can easily handle my nitrous setup too make over 300hp on the bottle which is what im shooting for…

nice! hopefully you get a build thread going. itd be nice to see it!
