h2b suggestions?

i’m considering an H2b set up, for my daily, a 90 gs

if i where to go h2b would i use the obd1 ls or h22 harness?
all previous searches say I cant keep it, but has anyone found a way to keep ac? wouldn’t mind sacrificing , but tx summers are stupid hot.
what mounts would be used?
axles?
and last but not least what would be ideal spring rates for the added 100 pounds or so?

iv’e done some searching but there isn’t too much info for the da/db
and maybe some of you can can point me in the right direction.

any input/responses will be greatly appreciated

Youll need a obd1 harness
You could keep your ac
Youll need b series mounts
And yhe QSD kit for a da
And obviously a ecu

Keep your axles, linkage, t bracket, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate and your golden thats the engine im doing on mine
And thats about it

good looking out,
do you have a build thread?

Is there a clearance issue?

You have to shave the block from the back and use the s2000 single row pulley

for the ac?

You might have to cut some of the chasis im using the pulley from the s2000

You use the LS harness and add VTEC just like any b swap Then you have to decide if you are keeping IAB or not and what ECU and IM to run.

You can call eibach or H & R and they have the spring rates. They used to sell H swap springs.

The only mount I know of for keeping ac is for use with an EK civic. Otherwise you could use the H series compressor and make custom lines for it. (or the ek one)

For the $ just build a good B20 VTEC. H2B is graet for a drag car, but for a daily you can make the same power out of a B series, and it all bolts up.

I’ve put H22’s in EG’s and Ek’s and after all the $ is spent everyone of them would rather still have AC and cruise and a regular B swap.

Im definitely saving up my pennies, I could just imagine an h22 with shorter gearing.

Not to mention any H22 race header ends up pointing towards the ground, the hood needs to be propped allowing thieves to clearly see what you have, and also the oiling problem due to the engine not sitting the way it was designed to. I would never DD an H2B setup. Its honestly a race only setup. like solblu said get yourself a nice B20VTEC and call it a day. better yet rock a gsr keep things simple

Theres custom h2b headers and im using a k20 manifold for the same reason and I dont have to raise the hood at all. But its all up to the O.P he needs to know what hes getting into

dreams are dime a dozen. actually doing it totally different ballpark… i wouldnt worry too much about OP being serious if hes saving his pennies… better be saving grands… and his name is broke_da…

heres where i shaved my h22a block for my h2b i was building

the motor…jdm h22a, stock block with skunk2 pro 1 cams/gears/intake mani, logic tri-y header, esp alt kit

race only?, qsd makes an oil pan just for h2b swaps so the oil is level, my friend dd his h2b hatch and didnt mind it at all and never had 1 problem…also it ran 11.8’s with just cams
