not a bad prices and they dont look so bad either. anybody running these?
Im interested in this as well. It would be nice to spend half the price than the fullrace setup.
get them and provide us update.
that crossmember doesnt support the front mount. sucks balls if you dont have aftermarket motor mounts. i might give these a try. since i do have aftermarket place racing mounts. nobody is running these bars at all?? well then again i’m running an obx lsd which everybody here said not to get, got it anyways and the shit works damn well.
grab it and let us know how it goes…looks almost like the fullrace one. the cheapest i canget the fullrace is $425+ship. i plan on grabbing a set of innovative mounts so that shouldnt be a problem. awesome find
single crossbar, not so hot from a strength standpoint. Place racing didn’t do so well with that idea.
why not support a sponsor and buy the Innovative crossmember? Spoolinperformance is selling them for the same price as that ebay one and his supports the front mount as well.
^ its somethin that has to do with the fact that the innovative one is an near-exact replica of the place racing which sucked. difference is a round bar vs square bar. that one in the link looks alot like the fullrace one i think. ithink ill be getting the fullrace anyways.
i think the full race bar IS running 420 shipped. the member who mentioned the OBX LSD - ive heard nothing but good about that generic product, if i had the time and money - id get it too, but for now, just because its generic doesnt mean its not gonna work. it just takes trial and error AND sharing, since thats the only way other people learn about the product.
someone should buy this bar… and see what happens. i think the distributor backs it up with a warrantee or something no?
i dunno about you, but that bar looks pretty round to me.
not sure, but it seems like the ebay one would give more ground clearance. would it be that bad to run without a front motor mount?
well check the suspension forum for the link on the innovative bar, they mention the place racing bar being the same thing and how much it sucked.
If you look at the sides it’s a almost exact copy of a Place Racing crossmember but with a round bar center not a square…and we all know what a Piece of shit the PR crossmember was, gain cracks in the welds, the radius rod portion failed on a members car. The bar was torn in half on another members car when it hit something and was pulled, but even before that had developed cracks on the welds and started rusting from the inside out.
I’ll give this bar the benefit of the doubt till someone trys it in everyday driving and see what that does to it.
i posted the same question on honda-tech and so far nobody complains about the ebay traction bars. so i’m going to order one on march 15th.

the earlier obx lsd’s had problems with axles getting stuck in them, noise, fitting problems etc. the new revised ones are a quality piece and works very well. my car drives totally diffrent now. i have the same faith with the ebay traction bars, they look very solid with a simple design. i’m suprised nobody here tried them yet?
word, let me know how it works out. maybe ill try one too.
That Club or whatever is a legit garage. They have been seen with their 9 second all motor CRX and different cars in canada.
i’m putting a set on my DB and my boys LSV CRX in a week or 2. so far, everybody that uses them up here like them. i’ll let you kow how it goes
ETD’s CRX made 290whp & 190wtq :surrend:
Personally, I think that ebay bar looks even cheaper than anything out there. Hopefully that bolt on the traction bar goes down far enough to withstand the abuse from the suspension.
And if you are going to spend 219 + 35 in shipping, I just bought the innovative bar which looks and feels alot beefier than the bay one, I got from www.robearracing.com for 225 plus shipping.
I actually wrote a review on the innovative bar too, tho I don’t see much gains in it at all, esp on a street vehicle. Save your money and stick with stock and just upgrade the oem bushings imo.

the stock crossmember is very heavy. a light weight traction bar, and jdm bumper supports front and back is a great way to loose weight. i recieved etd traction bar last week, and as expected you need to modify it to fit. the bar bent after 1 week of use, didnt even had the chance to test it. etd has great customer service and agreed to replace the bar. maybe i just recieved a bad batch. when i get the next one, i’ll put it to the test and post my review of it when i’m done.
