Hey, I have a '92 LS 2-door Integra. I’ve got the normal 2 switches
on the driver’s door for both windows, and then the 1 switch
on the passenger side for that window.
What I wanted was to have 1-touch of both windows from the
driver’s door, and then 1-touch of the pass’s window at the
pass’s door.
I’ve hit a couple snags: First I brought the motor#1 and switch#1
wires to the driver’s switch for the driver’s window…then I ran
the motor#2 and switch#2 wires to the pass’s switch in the
pass’s door. I was told this would do what I was trying to
accomplish. It didn’t. I kept blowing 20 amp fuses when I tried
to use the switches on the doors.
So I ran both sets of wires (motor#1/switch#1 and motor#2/switch#2)
to the driver’s door. Now it “sort-of” works. I still blew a couple
fuses. When I remotely opened the windows…only the driver’s
window would work. Then if I unarmed the car, then the
pass’s window would work. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?
Your probably running a wire that is not independent. I’ll bet you, but I don’t know for sure, that the power window option has it’s own fuse, and that if your blowing the fuses, then you’ll need to run an independant wire from the passenger door to the fuse box so you can run that option. That’s what it sounds like to me, but then again, there could be other sources such as not wiring it with the correct wires or whatnot.
What fuses are you blowing? What power source are you using? It needs to be a high current source. What shape are your window motors in? If they are worn and have a hard time going up before the the 530t was installed then it will still have a hard time after. Does the fuse blow immediately or when the windows get part way up? If blows right away check to make sure your switch and motor sides are connected properly. Did you connect the ground path wires to a good ground? Is the +/- switch set properly?
It sounds like you have the up/down backwards on pass window. If you want auto motion from pass switch, then the wiring needs to be in the pass door like you first had it.
I did run the wires into the passenger door, so now all 3 switches
have 1-touch up and down. My problem was that I looked at
which 2 wires I needed in the passengers door. I went to the
door swith, found those 2 wires, and put the 530t in between.
I realize that the fuse in the panel (for the pwr windows) was
blowing everytime I used the switch. So, I went back to my wiring
and realize that the 2 wires I used weren’t going between the
switch and the motor…they were coming in from the door to
the switch! That’s why! So, I found the 2 other wires going
from the switch to the motor, and used those…and everything
works peachy now!
