used a 84mm bore on a 88-91 b16a ?? I have seen a few threads where people have resleaved and used an 84 mm bore for FI… i’m only thinking about doing N/A … obviously it would be better to sleave it… I’m just wondering if anyone has done this and how it has worked out for them…
My current plan is to get a b16a swapped into my car this summer and then next summer either get it sleeved and bored to 84mm or get a gsr shortblock to swap in place of the b16a one. Sleeving and boring can cost upwards of $1000 so you decided if it’s worth it. But remember, just because your b16 has an 84mm bore doesn’t mean it has the same displacement as a b20. The stroke is still a lot smaller on the b16.
yeah i was just hoping to get it to 1.8… if i was to use the JE 11.5:1 Pistons for a CRVTEC what CR would i get in a B16?? I hoping it will be less i’m shooting for 11:1 any ideas on Pistons would be cool…
