my car has always shaken violently at idel and when i would shift. i finally got tired of it and purchased some new mounts. i went with hasport billet mount kit. installing them was hard… i finally did… and i also installed some new axles to make sure i would get a smooth ride. the mounts look awesome… the car still shakes at idel… i was dissapointed. i know the mounts are great… but what else can the problem be?.. i was looking at my car at idel to after driving it around and i noticed the the whole front bumper and hood where shaking really bad. what can this be? i know my wheel bearing needs to also be replaced and the lower ball joints as well but can that be causing this vibeation… any help would be appreciated.
Yes the joints & the wheel bearings can cause the vibration.
Here’s what the Haynes manual says:
Problem: Shimmy, Shake, or Vibration-
-
Tire or wheel out of balance or out of round.
-
Loose or worn front hub or wheel bearings
-
Worn tie rod ends
4.Worn suspension components.
-
Excessive wheel run out.
-
Blister or bump on tire.
So you got the whole kit w/ drivers side, pass. side, (Tranny) & rear? Did you get the 62s? (a step up from stock)
You must understand that the mounts will cause some vibration too, because they are stronger & thus the motor doesn’t move around as freely. This effect in turn will transfer the motion to the rest of the car, making it shake. I’m not saying that the mounts are the reason for the vibration, but when you fix the other stuff, expect a little vibration to remain as a result of the mounts.
Hope this helps. BTW- you should really get a service manual. Invaluable info. It’ll save you ALOT of time searching & is always available when a computers not. If you keep it in the car that is.

Corniest quote ever: “Get yours today! JDM is IN!”
where is your idle at RPM wise??? If you are down to the shake being at idle it’s nothing to do with the suspension, it’s motor related most likely.
idle set too low
rough idle due to misfire
etc…
