Have any of you done the Motorvac™ fuel system treatment on your G2?

I’m curious because I have mixed opinions about this. If you’ve ever gotten this treatment done (45min. running a detergent mized with gas solution off a pressurized bottle from the fuel rail) please comment as to the results.

I think it would help me clean the intake/exhaust valves up as well as those pesky rings. I’m fairly certain that I’ve kept my tb in good shape but who knows for sure.

Any of you have an increase in performance or fuel economy? Is this snake oil or the real deal??

Thanks.

Andrew.

this is a advertised thing? not a system flush available at the shop?

if it is, nothing works. no additive does. never has never will.

may i suggest doing something with guaranteed results? get your injectors cleaned and balanced at rc engineering. you will get improved throttle response and better gas mileage. they’re a great company to do business with too. i’m not affiliated with them, just a happy customer.

i currently go to college for motor vehicle repair, and since there is a motorvac machine here for me to use i decided to do it. it cost me only 10 bucks for the detergent.

what you actually do is put your gasoline into the machine and add the “motorvac” solution. your car then runs off this for a little while.

i have a 1992 RS, with 150,000 Kilometers on it, that almost 100,000 miles to you yankees.

upon finishing the treatment, i did not notice anything at all, the car did not sound different, it was not slower nor faster in anyway.

but i am sure that the internal are cleaner, and this could have prevented something else.

Hey Integra RS:

I am goin to the IT campus here in Hlfx, its cool to see another atlantic member!
We were also talkin about the Motorvac cleaning system, i am also lookin into using it.

later

I actually have done it before
Results are not like night and day but my car feels a little more responsible.
At idle, my car doesn’t shake as much as before.
Acceleration a little smoother.

Or could this be all in my head?

i went to a school for auto engine perf. the motovac is a carbon cleaner. my car was only driven like 3 miles a day b4 i got it so i had alot of carbon built up. i did the motovac and the overall performance was better my emissions were alot cleaner the car idles perfect and starts alot better now. carbon acts like a sponge and soaks up gas so fuel mileage increased a little it also raises comp. ratio in a bad way causing pinging and increased heat. on start up my car used to crank like 3 or 4 times now without fail twice and its runnin. the carbon soaks up ythat 2 second prime and makes it harder to start. so if your car has alot of miles or isn’t driven on long trips to often then i’d say go for it . but my buddy did it to his b16 swap w 50000 m. on it and the results weren’t as drastic. they say the more it smokes after the motovac cleaning the more you cleaned.
