well i just got my new b18b and new ceramic clutch installed. well i was driving and i came up to a stop light so i pushed my clutch in and then it snaped the pedal went to the floor and just stayed there i couldnt put it in gear or anything. so i open the hood and the hole clutch are is loose. what u think happened? i wasnt driving hard because im braking in the engine and the new clutch.
the clutch cable could have snapped. Or it could be something inside the tranny. My friend had a new clutch put in and two days later the same thing happened (clutch fell to the floor) and it turned out to be a fairly simple part… but its inside the tranny.
funny thing is that he actually drove the car around with it like that! he would use the starter to get it moving in first. Then just shift w/o the clutch into all the other gears (pretty easy and when done right won’t hurt anything), of course you can’t really come to a stop because you always have to stay in gear.
