Have you seen this??? wow TITUNIUM

Any one taken their block to Golden Eagle Manufactruing to get it sleeved or even increasing the displacement from the 1.8 to the 2.0. (giong from 81 millimeter to 84 millimeter bore)? What did you have to do as for prep work? Did you just drive there and say here it is, have at it, or did you have to send them the block and wait for its return to put it all back together again?

And the final Question is. Has any one besides me seen, been told of or know of some one using Crowers Titanium Rods… They were listed on their web sight now they arnt. You have to call them or look them up on their master parts listing. They are 800$ a pop, 4x = 32,000. I thought about doing all titanium motor. That would bullet proof the bottom end for sure when i do the LS/Vtec swap. But then again thats kinda pricey.

800$ a rod
90.15$ a valve (full set 1442$)
??.??$ retainers.

not to mention all the other goodies that i cant get in titanium. Like pistons, springs, crank shaft, cam shaft, now if i could only win the lotto and get a block made of titanium. Now we’er cooking with gas…

Ps. Can any one shead some light on me about piston sizes and cams… I dont need to get all tech. and stuff. I just needed to be pointed in the right direction for what I am looking for… I guess im looking for a “Mad Scientist” (TF&TF) to help me out… Know anyone?:shy:

True, the motor will be bullet proof, but not for long. Titanium is so strong that it will actually wear out everything around it. The motor won’t last much longer than 500-2000miles. Titanium is only good for race engines. Especially when it’s all going into an Aluminum motor.

LAter.
Secret

If every metal part in the engine is titanium, then how can it wear everything else out?

Did you really just dig up a 3 year old post for that??

“They are 800$ a pop, 4x = 32,000”
:giggle:

lol 8 x 4 = 320?

Yes.

NSX motors use Titanium rods.
