I’m going to try and find one of these headlight chime modules next time I see an Integra in a junkyard. I can’t find a good picture of one. I’m not sure where it is installed in the car. Someone told me “Its behind the radio. Passenger side” I would appreciate any helpful advice like what tools am I going to need and what is the easiest way to get to it. Pictures would be great!
Wow I have NEVER looked this up for how long I have had this car. It is interesting though that a search for the name comes up empty on parts websites. ![]()
I will look through the Helms and see whether it’s in there.
This is from the Helms, as part of the Integrated Control Unit wiring diagram. It depicts orange and black wires, so that’s probably a good sign this is it, based on your photo there. It’s referred to as the “lights-on reminder circuit”.
The one I found in a 92 in the junkyard looks a bit different. I would describe its location as; in the center console behind the ash tray. It is held in place with a single 10mm bolt. It requires a pulsing 12V signal, It chimes once each time 12V is applied.
I guess the ICU sends that pulsed 12V!
That would be my guess as well, so if you don’t here a chime it could be an issue with the ICU
BTW, please check your door switch if you’re seeing this not work. I don’t know why exactly you’re looking for this replacement. (I thought I’d post this here too).
