Recently I’ve noticed that my driver side headlight was really dim in comparison to the passenger side light. I opened the hood at pushed on the harness a little bit a shook the wire and it went back on an it was fine. Then the other day I noticed it was really dim again. So I pulled the bulb out and noticed that the part that the blub gets plugged into had melted away and It was either not connecting to the bulb properly or somethin was goin on in there causin it not to light up all the way. The connector is really melted pretty bad and I’m assuming I’m gonna need a new one. First is there anywhere that I can get one of these and second if there is how would I install it, do I just cut the wires an hook it back up? Anyone ever have to do this? any help would be great…thanks

Were you running 85 watt bulbs ? Cause that’s what 85 watt bulbs do to your harness. Thats what happened to my dc2. All you gotta do is buy awhole new harness. Try a junk yard cause its around $ 20 if you get it at the dealer. Next cut the old harness out & connect the new one in. use butt connectors & a crimper that will do the job. Hope this works good luck
The Bulbs i’m usin are 80W but I guess that was enough…thanks a lot I’ll look into it…I’m not really sure where there is a yard where I could get it around here but I’ll see what the dealer wants for it
what brand bulbs did you use?
They were made by Naxos
yeah they run too hot. its best that you dont go over 55watts (low beams )

If you want to get the harness from a dealer you have to say that you want a lamp holder with pig tails…c Later
Just so you know you might want to upgrade to a heavy duty aftermarket harness if you plan on keeping the bulbs. I paid like 35-40 for an aftermarket harness to run my 80/100 watt bulbs.

Where do they sell em im intrested in getting some
Honestly I don’t even remember where I bought mine. I just started searching the net for heavy duty 9004 wiring harneses. Then I wired it into my battery with the supplied relays and so far it’s been great.
