First thing. I really like my integra. It a great little car, but I find that the headlights don’t work very well. They seem to point at the ground to much.
Am I just picky, or have others noticed this?
And finally, has anyone reajusted them to make them work better?
You probably need to have them adjusted, I’ve never heard of anyone else having this problem with their tegs, but my friend had a CRX whose headlights were pointed in almost opposite directions before he had them adjusted.
me too
Yea i have the exact other problem but im just gonna bend the bracket slightly to adjust them towards the ground cuz they light up everything but the ground
i thot you were gonna complain about the light output… in which case i was gonna suggest jdm one piece headlights. much brighter than stock, wouldnt dare touch those xenon hiper whites. its amazing how crappy they are
instead of bending the bracke tto adjust them, why not use the adjusting mechanism?
You will see 1/2" diameter holes behind the headlight, in the radiator support bar. look into these with a flashlight and you’ll see what looks like gears. Well, they are gears.
Stick a Philips (star) screwdriver in there and turn until you can see the light beam moving up/down/side/side (2 holes per light – one for vertical, one for horizontal).
Best to do this about 20’ from a wall, with your car 1/2 full of gas on LEVEL GROUND. Measure the distance from the ground to the middle of the headlight. Draw a mark on the wawll the exact same height. Repeat for the other light, and make sure to have them spaced apart the same distance they are on the car.
Then, back the car up perpindicular to the wall, turn on lights, and start adjusting. Ideally, you want the DRIVERS side light to aim 2" RIGHT and 2" DOWN of the mark you made on the wall. The PASSENGER side should be centered but 1.5" DOWN.
No need to adjust anything else (maybe your figlights too… but I’m not sure on the specs for those.)
Any questions, just ask. I’ll do my best to get the answer for you.
I HAAAAATE people with porly aimed headlights… like when you’re driving in fog and someone ahead of you has their lights aimed sky high, like the bigass lights in Hollywood. LOL.

Definately get your headlights adjusted… but also try putting in a high output bulb. I did this with mine, and they’re a lot brighter than a ‘normal’ blub. But like someone said before, stay the hell away from those pure white bulb peices of crap! They suck, AND they’re illegal!
Right now I have the xenon blue Eurolite bulbs. They helped a little. I have the factory service manual, so adjusting the bulbs will not be a problem.

blue headlights are the worst… you actually reduce night vision.
I have Sylvania “Cool Blue” bulbs in mine. They aren’t actually blue – they’re actually a really bright white. When you put your high beams on, there’s a HUGE difference from the regular bulbs. Much better vision on the highway, in my experience…

I agree – I have these bulbs and they are a night & day difference over regular bulbs. Sorry for the pun.
I recommend these bulbs over the others mentioned in this thread. The Sylvania ones are nice and bright and actually help your night vision distance.

Invest your money on some 1 piece headlights. If not, adjusting them should help a bit.
About the one piece headlights.
They take H4H bulbs, dont they. How hard are they (the bulbs) to get? And how expensive are they? That is the only thing that would keep me from buying them.

However, it makes your (my) fogs look like crappy old 45W house bulbs, so you need to get a yellow thingy to put in them… then it looks JDM at night!
What exactly is the yellow thing for usdm fogs and where do you get them??

I hear that you can get them from a Legend of the same year…
