if i replace my fan on my car will i see a difference in the amount of air flow or how cold the air will be ? it seems like the air is NEVER cold unless i turn a/c all the way on. what is the issue? thanks. -Dan
I don’t think the fan would affect the air temperature. Sounds like you might have a refrigerant leak in your A/C system. To get it fixed may be quite costly because it’s probably the old freon in the system, and by law (here anyways), they’d have to put a newer type in once the leak is fixed.
I don’t have A/C in my teg though, so I can’t really say how cold it should get…
yo
Yea it could be a leak its not that expensive too get fixed they just put a black light sensetive dye in the system and look around with a black light then fix it, And if its an R12 system you might want to get it converted to R134 due to the fact that R12 cost’s about $100.00 a pound and it takes a little more than two pounds to fill a fully drained system, while if you got the dryer and condensor changed to R134 system that only costs about $20.00 a pound much better.(plus maybe $250.00 parts to chnge the system) could be more, less;)
ahh ok frustrating, yet, its got to be done and thats probably the only thing im going to have to replace on this car. haha. thanks. -Dan
its not evern that hot yet dan.
anyway, my mothers accord is like that. the dealer told her honda’s a/c is made to run with the recycling the air instead of fresh and also with the fan on.
i have never had this problem, but my mothers two accords did.
if you are out of refrigerent you will not get any cool air and will not see a difference with the ac on or off.
