So I decide to go out for a drive last night and my blower motor goes out. I tap the blower motor and it starts up and quits. I tap it again does the same thing. could this be a resistor or the motor it self? im kind of stumped here.
It is the motor or connection to the motor.
To check, wiggle the leads to the plug, blue/white, [power] and blue/black, [ground from blower resistor], if wiggling either lead just a little cuts motor in and out, the problem is most likely the connection., unplug and de-pin the terminals, [one by one] and “tighten” them.
If there is signs of heat at the wire terminals, [plug will be discolored] you will need to replace the pins as they will have lost their “spring” and will not stay “tight”. 94
