Built 2.0L GSR block, Built ITR Head
Top Mount manifold
GT35R
28psi in 3+ Gears
etc etc. Lotsa stuff really. too much to list haa.
As for getting traction, on my 17" Drag radials it was really hard, on these bias plys they grip so hard after doing a big 2nd gear burnout, I just sit on the launch control anti lag and launch it at 5500rpm at 10psi of boost. Hooks well but slight bogging still, will raise it to 5750 or 6000 and go from there. In the end, practice is everything when you have a high powered FWD car. I only have it running 14psi in 1st as well and it’s still tough lol.
How the hell do you cut a 3.1 60’? What do you even tell that guy? Hey man, if you can get that 60’ down to a 2.7 or so, I’d bet you’d see high 15s!
But on topic, that car is hot fire, and the engine setup is glorious.
Lol ya, I feel bad for that guy, I made him lok horrible. He must have stalled it haha.
I have not dynoed this new setup yet, at the end of 2007 on my old setup it 484whp/313wtq on a Mustang Dyno, this years setup is definantly alot faster then last years, but by how much. I don’t know yet. If I were to guess, I’d say 550whp max right now as I don’t want to over guess, but by my 134mph traps, that is about where it should land me.
I couldn’t for the life of me cut better then a 1.95X 60’ so I had to work with it. Second ran I went 11.238 @ 138.X mph and then I ran a 139.X mph run later on and got the flag and warning that I can’t run faster and if I do I can’t run anymore. so I babied it for a while trying to dial a better launch to no avail. Next morning on my first run it wheel hopped badly cause it was on the egde of gripping and slipping but it was still a 1.952 60’ so I kept my foot into it and ended up running 11.180 @ 140.86 mph… No 10’s this weekend boys. If I can dial a low 1.8 60’, the car will run high 10’s for sure…Whenever I learn how to do that. haha.
Either way, at 140mph, that tells me the car is in the 600whp territory now.
Congrat man. Im on my way to a ten second set up. Im just deciding to either get gt35r or gt4088r. Have you tried preloading and power shifting it helps alot. with my previous turbo hatch it went from a 11.29 to 10.99!
Its the best feeling ever. My goal for my 93 gsr model is high tens.
I am preloading on the burnout and the launches to save the tranny and axles… I am not power shifting yet as going by the logs, the clutch already slips a bit going into the next gear, powershifting will just make it that much worse haha.
