hello all, after waiting a week i can finally post…
okay heres the deal, i just bought a 93 integra special (ls) with the b18a engine in it. i’m trying to get the smitch started but it will not start. when i first got the car my roommate said he had stopped driving it because he got a new car (a mazdaspeed 3) so he sold me his car for 800 and said the only problem with it is that the master cylinder needed to be changed because it was fucked up… which is fine and dandy with me because it’s not that hard to change out. well upon getting the car the car wouldn’t turn on, the battery was dead. So we came back the next day and jumped it, nothing, the dash and everything else turned on, the car just wouldn’t start it just gavce a stutter. so we push started it, it felt like it wanted to start, but again nothing. so we went back to the house to get our toolkit (yea we left it like idiots.) so after i wanna say about half an hour, we come back to the car try jumping it again and now nothing will light up, we switch the battery and still nothing. so we came to the conclusion that it had to be the battery cable, so we ended up switching it out, putting the battery back on and still nothing… i’ve looked at the spark plugs as well and they are fine.
so what the hell could it be? i mean if it was the starter / alternator it would sitll push start? right? or is there something el se that could be wrong with the car? ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME.
and yes i’ve searched, maybe not as deep as some of you guys on here… but i’ve looked and i’m still looking.
