Help a lady out!! New DA owner.. Got some questions

Hey everyone. I joined this site a while ago and have been lurking. My boyfriend and I recently purchased an LS not too long ago. We have slowly been adding more to it (headers, coils, tint, intake, exhaust, etc). Last summer we picked up some drag wheels just because the stockies were looking way too beat up. In the spring she is getting all her rust spots fixed and a brand new paint job. Carbon fiber trunk. And a new motor is definitely in the equation, but not just yet. She NEEDS some new wheels with a killer offset.

We are on the fence about exactly what color scheme we want to go with, but I THINK we are decided on these wheels: http://www.konigwheels.com/Konig-Home/NEW-FOR-2011/ROLLER-MACHINED. (Konig Roller Machined). I personally wanted something a little different, but it is technically his car so I lose the battle. =). I wanted something with a red face and a chrome/silver lip.

We want the hella flush, deep dish look. But I know nothing about integras, I am trying to learn. I have an accord myself so I am used to bigger wheels and tires. Not sure what this little thing can handle. All I know is we are thinking bigger in back, smaller in front? 15 in front 16 in back? Or would 16 in front 17 in back look better? And what offset would you guys recommend? So many questions. Don’t mean to be a newb, but I just don’t know too much about this car…

I attached a pic of our DA, and then my baby.

And next use a more detailed thread title stating the question.

Thank you for that.

your going to need to address the suspension for a well balanced drop and flush, this is the area you dont really want to go with cheap parts.
start by replacing bad bushings, front and rear camber then a full coilover setup that fits your needs. Your going to need something adjustable if you plan on going with big wheels so the skunk2 type S are pretty smooth for daily and track.

I personally like those rims but would like them better if they had a gold or bronze face, I wouldnt go any bigger than 17s for a daily driver since your tires will be way to thin to take on small dips and bumps…

The car is currently (almost maxed) on d2 coilovers. I wasn’t so thrilled with the thought of d2 but the shop that I go to puts them on all their Honda Day cars, so whatever.

We are thinking 16s. Maybe even 15 in front and 16 in back (his idea). But i think 16 is the best for all around.

Personally I’d run 15s wth differant size tires.

I’m running 205/50/15 in the rear. And 195/50/15 in the front.

I would stick with 1 size set of wheels. Either 15s or 16s. 16s for the deepdish look.

Staggered wheels are a PITA when you need to get new tires. You also can’t rotate the tires front-back, only side-side which means you can’t really balance the tire wear. What this means is that you will have to change tires at different intervals for the fronts and the back.

If you’re looking for crazy hella flush fitment, check out rexone’s wheel specs. His DB is/was arguably the best looking hella flushed 2nd gen ever to grace the internet. But, in all seriousness if you are planning to drive this thing on the street, being hella flush is too impractical. Not to mention you would severely loose handling performance and comfort.
