Help!!! Ball Joint camber kits?

help I just bought a ball joint camber kit from groupbuy. I thought that it would come with upper control arms but guess not. Do you guys know what tools i should use to remove the stock balljoint from the stock control arm. Also has anyone done this before? How hard is it? well thanks much.

I am sorry I don’t know the official names of these tools, but when dealing with ball joints on my car before I used a fork-type of tap that you place between the joint and hammer in. This forces the joint loose. The only problem is you risk tearing the ball joint boot. But they are cheap to replace. The other method is using a puller. I guess you’ld call it a ball joint puller. Both of these are usually available at your local rental yard for dirt cheap. Hope that helped, good luck.

On mine…( if yours is the upper balljoint) I had to hammer the hell out of it to get it to come out…that fork thing will not work for the upper ball joint…its either hammer it out or have a place press it out. ( pressing equals money )
plus it is more fun to hammer it out.

thanks alot guys, but i need to take the old joints off so that i can put the new ones that can change cambe on. how can i take the old joints out the easier way.

Yes, it’s a pickle fork aka ball joint seperator. I’m not sure how the ball joint camber kits work, but if you need to reuse the old one (for some reason) be careful not to damge the thread on the old one when hammering!

yeah really the best tool is use is what 4drb16 said: a BFH.

How much would one of these costs, this mught be a one time thing for me.
