my fuse for the rear lights is blowing all the time. i checked all the fuses and there fine. ive replaced the fuse thats blowing all the time and it continues 2 blow once i turn my lights on. plz help
Are you talking tail lights, or brake lights? If its your brake lights run a search on the topic. Your horns are probally shorted out. They are on the same fuse/circuit.
rear lights
not brake lights
the speedometer is not workign either like the light n there is not working. the brake light works fine. the rear lights do not work at all until i hit the brake
I just had the same problem.
I don’t know HOW in the hell it happened, but it did.
I would also like to know the causes?
did either of you guys happen to have just installed a stereo?
there is a wire that leads to the stock stereo—it is there to illuminate the buttons on the stock radio. This wire isn’t used if you install an aftermarket deck, so it needs to be taped up. The one in my car was never taped up. And one day when i had re-installed my stereo i had moved the wires around enough for it to short out.
If you’ve done anything with your stereo or anything around that center console then i’d check that wire first.
good luck
the speed-o in the g2 tegs are a cable, at least in the LS and RS, not sure about the higher models but you may have snapped the cable…if you did just go to a junk yard and get a new one. As for the other problems I dont know and I hope someone else has some answers for you.
check the grounding wires for your motor too. A while ago that wire was loose on mine and was shorting and causing just my taillights (guage cluster too of course, from same circuit) to short out.
Well if the fuses keep going out, the you have a short somewhere. Check your wires and connections. At least your blowing your fuses. Their doing their job. Better than blowing other things in your car, that could end up costly to fix.
