Ok well i put on a new axle back exhaust today and went out to test it out. I wus driving my car pretty hard but no like crazy downshifts. When i pulled into a gas station everythin wus fine when i wus pulling out my engine started bogging and the idle started to be realy ruff when i pulled out the engin sounded like a go kart and it had no power when i was in a gear and it would fall below 2.5 krpms it felt like it was about to stall. PLEASE HELP ASAP. What could be wrong? i jsut drove it home liek 5 miles and its sitting down stairs wat could be wrong … if u need more info inform me IM SCARED PLEASE HELP ME
I had the same problem one and all it was a blockage in the muffler! One of the baffles came loose and the preasure of the exaust pushed it forward and blocked the flow and thus i lost all power basically what you described! I teporarly fixed it by (dont do this) putting a close hanger up the exaust to stop the baffle from closeing up the exuast! But sounds to me like your muffler screwin with the out flow of your exaust!
PS: only reason i put hanger in muffler is my dad works for an Acura dealership thus no wories about n-e thing going wrong cause he the claims guy!

What do you mean a baffle from closing? where would that be? i had to sorta ghetto rig the muffler on becuast its jsut an axle back and the point where it bolts up to the stock echaust the its the flange is on angle so i had to use another split flange to bolt it up… could that have anythin to do wit it?
I jsut went down its too dark to tell any farther then the muffler sounds realy odd there is still flow out of it but im not sure if its less then before. Any more ideas or anyothers say its the exhaust?
UPDATE
I jsut took off the bolts holdin the rear part ofthe exahsut on(the part i put on wit the muffler) and the feeling did not changes so i dont think its anythin in the muffler. Anything else?
check your plugs, wires, cap and rotor…and maybe your coil or ignitor
What are the plugs and wires i shoudl get if that is the problem? how much dose it run?
since you just came from the gas station, it looks like there could be water in the fuel… this happens a lot. What you want to check is ur fuel filter, which might be letting some of that water through. Also check ur spark plugs, and distributor parts. Does this happen after driving for a while or is it a problem right when u start the car?
I used the station to turn around i did not fill up.
this starts as soon as i start the car…well no it dose then i didnt even turn my car off i just turned around when i wus turning into the station it wus fine on my way out i noticed this.
sorry if someone posted this already but you didn’t mention that you reset your ecu after putting on the exhuast. did you do this? if not… do so… after any mods…
when your car is cold… make sure all accesories are turned off, radio, heater, etc.
pop your hood… open up the fuse box … pull the ECU and the back up fuses. wait 5-10 minutes. Then put them back in. start your engine. let sit until at regular driving temp. do not give it any gas or turn anything on.
then check to see if it still bogs.
ECU was reset…

Do you have a fuel pressure guage? if you do make sure that you are getting pressure at the filter. My guess is that your ingiter, coil or distributer is bad. My friend just had the same problem with his 93 LS. We put a new distributer with new internals ( new coil and igniter) and now his car runs like a champ.
