Help identifying this part

I have 92 teg rs and im trying to find out if my climate controls are supposed to illuminate at night? and i tried to take it out and found this part and dont know what it is help please!?

I think it is your light that goes over your radio. There should be a slot for it to fit into in your console.

oh thats what i thought i just never new it illuminated. do you know the bulb size?

tiny i dont remember specific number but it is small 94 I think.

ok thanks. that helped

mine use to illuminate, its a very very tiny ass bulb. u’ll see the wire n stuff for it when u pull out the stuff in the way. or sometimes u might be able to just reach in and get it.

yea i saw all the wired. but i dont know the bulb size

I disconnect mine cuz it’s kinda annoying when it’s lit up cuz it gives kinda like a glare right on the head unit screen…

does anyone know the bulb size?

I had a spare light of the same size in a bag around here somewhere, but I can’t find it probably threw it out. I ended up tearing that whole piece off my console and using zip ties to hold the wires and light just behind and below the dash to illuminate foot space, I think it is much better utilized there. Plus that wheel on your dash for the light adjustments dims/brightens this line too.

By the way… you don’t really have to use a specific size bulb. Anything that fits in there and won’t get hot enough to melt the plastic will work, just remove the stupid silicone housing and crimp the bulb directly to the wires. Easy.

Dude, Fuck that! Get the right shit. Cheap guys pay twice. Here’s what you need:

As you can see, the bulb is 94A. get it for like a $1 @ the auto store. The little black thing is the plug that the light sits in; & that fills the hole in the piece you’re holding. The brass prongs are the connection points.

Put bulb in plug, put plug in hole, twist to lock plug in, blammo, you’re done.

To get that plug, you may try the autostore, or hit up the junk yard. If you really want it bad, & can’t find it @ the store/yard, hit this place up:
www.superlumination.com

They have every thing you could want for auto interior lighting. I also used them to get the bulbs for my gauge cluster. Swapped 'em to red. Check it:

They have a richer hue in person. More like this: RED
If you wanna do this mod, read the thread: “Amber bulbs in gauge cluster” in the Articles/Teg Tips forum.
