help installing actuators for door locks and wiring it to stock alarm system

i was wondering how do i install aftermarket actuators to a non power door rod lock and wire it to my stock alarm so when i press unlock on my remote it unlocks my door. ive heard that u connect the actuator to the rod lock but how do i wire it? help plz.

:bump:

You’ll need to wire them up via a relay… check this diagram out…really quite simple

Thanks great info but still puzzled can u plz elaborate more about it…im lost when it comes to stuff like this

Ok, so what you want to do is mount the acuator in the door (via screws or zip ties), and connect the rod of the acuator to the rod of the door locking mechanism. Then you want to run the unlock wires (test with a 12v battery) from both acuators together and the lock wires from the two acuators together. Then you wire them up to the relay, which basically takes the lower power output of your alarm and outputs to the acuators a more powerful output. So the relays will have everything connected to it, the acuators and the alarm outputs. Oh and btw, the relays are just basic automotive relay’s that can be found anywhere!

Hope that helps

This helps out alot thanks :hi5:
