I have a 1990 Integra 4-door GS 5-speed. My stock B18 has bad rings and I am wanting to swap for a B16A. I have the ECU already for the VTEC and don’t need the transmission because my stock one was just rebuilt a year ago. All’s I want to buy is the B16A long block but want to make sure in buying it that I don’t need many more parts to get it installed. What help can you give me so that I know exactly what I need to make this swap happen?
if u dont have a vtec tranny u need to get one! the ls tranny wont cut it! oh and check out the swap guide in the teg tips that should give you all the right answers!

would you be willing to sell your old LS block when you pull it out? if so, let me know how much you’d like for it.

It will work if you are on a tight budget…but it will be slower

not only will it be slower but it won’t be half as fun to drive, and with such low torque it’ll feel pretty gutless.
AMB012977: do yourself a favor and save up to get the vtec tranny as well. You’ll be glad you did.
oh, and read the vtec swap guide (download it, its in the teg tips section). That should give you plenty of info on what you need and what you don’t.
