I just got done replacing my dash harness and removing the old alarm system the previous owner jerry-rigged in there (which, BTW, had a lead-acid backup battery that was about to burst). Most of the old wiring and plugs were just dangling there when I bought the car.
The gray box is mounted under the steering column…any ideas what this is and where all the wires to it go?
The black and red wires are going through the firewall in a stock-looking cover, but it’s not apparent where they went to.
The plug below is hanging by the passenger side footrest/kick panel area…not sure where it goes either.
Not sure where the red/blue wire plug goes to…possibly horn??
Last picture is a brown plug that is on the new harness that wasn’t on the old one. Also, there is a brown wire and a white wire that go to the firewall behind the fusebox…not sure what those go to either.
Anyone got any insight to these issues, and if possible, a wiring diagram or factory wiring manual? ALL OF the console ends of the wiring connectors were unhooked long before I started ripping the old harness out: previous owner had a lot of stuff unhooked, and the stereo shorted the entire harness and burnt/melted most of it.
As you can tell from the photos below: his ghetto wiring job pretty much tweaked the wiring.
Thanks in advance for your help (and refraining from ‘silly n00b’ comments)! Pretty new to the whole Honda wiring thing, and VERY new to ripping out an alarm system. BTW, the steering column wires and ignition wires were SEVERELY tapped into…can I just patch these back up, or do they need to be replaced?
