help me identify these wires/plugs/harnesses!

I just got done replacing my dash harness and removing the old alarm system the previous owner jerry-rigged in there (which, BTW, had a lead-acid backup battery that was about to burst). Most of the old wiring and plugs were just dangling there when I bought the car.

The gray box is mounted under the steering column…any ideas what this is and where all the wires to it go?

The black and red wires are going through the firewall in a stock-looking cover, but it’s not apparent where they went to.

The plug below is hanging by the passenger side footrest/kick panel area…not sure where it goes either.

Not sure where the red/blue wire plug goes to…possibly horn??

Last picture is a brown plug that is on the new harness that wasn’t on the old one. Also, there is a brown wire and a white wire that go to the firewall behind the fusebox…not sure what those go to either.

Anyone got any insight to these issues, and if possible, a wiring diagram or factory wiring manual? ALL OF the console ends of the wiring connectors were unhooked long before I started ripping the old harness out: previous owner had a lot of stuff unhooked, and the stereo shorted the entire harness and burnt/melted most of it.

As you can tell from the photos below: his ghetto wiring job pretty much tweaked the wiring.

Thanks in advance for your help (and refraining from ‘silly n00b’ comments)! Pretty new to the whole Honda wiring thing, and VERY new to ripping out an alarm system. BTW, the steering column wires and ignition wires were SEVERELY tapped into…can I just patch these back up, or do they need to be replaced?

What year is your G2?
What trim level is it, [RS/LS/GSR]?

What was the MM&Y and trim level of the car you got the dash harness from?

I would replace the ign. switch harness, [ign. switch and harness].

You need a repair manual or maybe this will help… http://free-pdf-ebook.com/2007/11/17/acura-integra-90-93-wiring-diagram/ 94

My Integra is a 1992 RS 2-door…came out of a 91 GS special edition, according to the person who sent it.

Thanks for the link, it’s quite informative!! Thanks to working on F-16’s in the Air Force, I can read these schematics. Gotta get a Chilton’s or something to locate all of the different relays, switches, etc.

Find the helm manual, you will be at home with it. Don’t bother with the Chilton’s or Haynes. They are crap compared to the Helm.
